CitiumSoftware
Brand v2 draft · chore/restylebrand

Citium, redrawn in copper and straight lines.

Five candidate marks for the Citium Software masterbrand. Each one is drawn on the same 48-unit grid as the Zeno product marks, from one primary shape and one copper accent. The primary turns ink or white with the background. The copper stays the same hex on both, because it is tuned to the contrast midpoint.

2 layers per mark 48-unit grid, shared with Zeno #BE6029 copper: 4.29:1 on white, 4.34:1 on night 0 third-party font requests

Five concepts

Each mark carries a piece of the Citium story

Citium (Kition) was the harbour city on Cyprus where Zeno, founder of Stoicism, was born. He taught in Athens under the Stoa Poikile, the painted porch. Cyprus gave copper its name: aes Cyprium, later cuprum. The marks draw on those threads and stay plain enough to cut, stitch, emboss or fax.

Colour

Copper replaces teal. Patina keeps its memory.

The old palette was Tailwind teal on slate, plus a logo teal and gold that appeared nowhere else. The new palette is built on three midpoint colours: each sits at about 4.3:1 against both white and night. One hex works in light mode, dark mode and print. Ink and neutrals are shared with the Zeno family.

Print: a straight conversion of copper 500 gives CMYK 0 50 78 25. Choose the Pantone match from a physical swatch book and proof it on paper before ordering. For premium print, use real copper foil on navy stock with the white primary.

Type

The Zeno stack, self-hosted

Same three open-source families as ZenoTunnel, served from our own domain. The current site loads Inter and Lora from Google Fonts. That is a US supplier request on every page view, and the EU-only supplier policy rules it out.

ZenoVault stores secrets in your own cluster. Keys are generated and sealed there, and nothing leaves it unless you configure a replica. Lora, the serif on the current site, is retired: the brand voice is engineer-plain.

One parent, many products

Citium is the endorsing masterbrand. Zeno products keep their own blue line-drawn marks. Copper is the signal that tells you who stands behind them.

CitiumSoftware

Masterbrand

Solid geometric mark, ink or white plus copper. Used on citiumsoftware.com, contracts, invoices, trust centre, conference stands.

ZenoTunnel

Product marks

Line-drawn on the same 48 grid, 4–4.5 stroke, Tunnel Blue and Stream Cyan. The ZenoTunnel and ZenoCookieConsent marks already follow this. The other Zeno products move to it next.

Endorsement

A product footer, docs and installer show the small Citium mark with one line of text. The Citium mark is never merged into a product mark.

  • Clear space: ¼ of the mark height on every side.
  • Minimum size: 16 px on screen, 6 mm in print.
  • Two layers only: primary + copper. No gradients, shadows, glows or outlines.
  • One colour allowed: drop the accent into the primary for stamps, embossing, laser etching and fax.
  • Shape language: straight cuts, 4–10 px radii, square buttons. No 24 px pill cards.
  • Wordmark: outline the text in the final SVG and PDF so print does not depend on installed fonts.
